JAMMU, July 15: Dulhasti Power Station will carry out emergent reservoir flushing on July 16, 2020 (Thursday) from 00:00 Hrs to 18:00 Hrs to recover the missing persons and vehicle due to accident near upstream of Dul Dam.
The Management of Dulhasti Power Station, NHPC Limited has cautioned General Public of Doda and Kishtwar and Public of village Dul, Benzwar, Cherhar, Bhandarkot, Hasti, Kandani, Prem Nagar and Pul Doda in particular to not to move near River Chenab on July 16, 2020 (Thursday) from 00:00 Hrs to 18:00 Hrs as the gates of Dulhasti Power Station Dam shall be opened for reservoir flushing.
During this period the water level of River Chenab may rise to 2-3 meters.
Therefore, the public residing near River Chenab downstream areas is being cautioned to refrain from moving themselves, their cattle, Trucks & Tippers near the banks of River Chenab to avoid any mishap and to co-operate for the safety of their lives.
The warning further stated that anybody violating the request shall be doing so at his own risk and responsibility and NHPC Management of Dulhasti Power Station shall not be responsible for consequences thereof.
