JAMMU, Dec 10: Pradesh Congress Committee has expressed serious concern over the failure of the State Government to ensure ration to the people, as there is acute shortage of supplies to the ration depots in the State.
In a statement PCC chief spokesman, Ravinder Sharma has said that there is no supply of sugar for the past around three months while flour/rice is being provided at around 10 kg per family, against the Government scale of 35 kg, per family. The acute shortage of supplies of ration, has exposed the tall claims of the Government in this regard and put the people to great suffering. The Government has failed in its primary duty to the citizens.
The party has strongly criticized the State Government for its failure to ensure the availability of ration to the common people, who are already facing great hardships due to the sky touching prices of all essential commodities under the present Modi regime in the country. The Government must undertake immediate measures in this regard to ensure adequate supply of ration all over the State, as per prescribed scale besides making available the shortfall quota of the previous months, Mr Sharma added.
