JAMMU, Feb 12: Sewa Singh Bali, State general secretary, Panthers Trade Union (PTU) has stressed for opening a degree college at tehsil Ukhral.
He said that during the Congress and National Conference Government, a degree college was granted at Ukhral but it is strange to say that till date no formal order for establishing the same has been issued.
He said that even the previous PDP-BJP coalition Government was approached for establishment of the college keeping in view the urgency of the same but no steps have been taken and there is a great resentment among the masses of the area against both the Governments.
He appealed Governor NN Vohra for issuance of orders in this regard at the earliest.
