PSDPF raises issue of delay in issuing PS Certificate

JAMMU, Dec 24: A delegation of PoJK Pahari Speaking Displaced People’s Forum (PSDPF) met Additional Commissioner and raised the issue of delay in issuing Pahari Speaking (PS) Certificate to PoJK displaced persons settled in Jammu division except Poonch and Rajouri.
Delegation members said that displaced persons of PoJK are the aboriginal of Poonch, Muzaffarabad and Mirpur districts (now in PoJK) and they were forcefully displaced from these areas in 1947 after the tribal invasion in which thousands of their community members were murdered and raped.
They claimed that as per records of Government of India, 31619 (registered) and 9500 (unregistered) families managed to escape from the tribal invasion and are presently are settled in J&K.
The delegation also explained that several youths of the displaced community applied for the PS Certificate as per provisions of SO 127 dated 20 April 2020 but the applications are not being entertained and delayed on one pretext or the other.
The delegation demanded immediate intervention of Divisional Commissioner in the matter so that PS Certificates should be issued to the community youth.
The delegation included Om Parkash Khajuria, Manik Sharma, Vinod Sharma, Naveen Sharma, Jyotish Sudan, Jatin Raina and Prince Saksham.
