This is in reference to DE news of 7th September ‘HC stays KAS (Mains) notification of PSC’. Time and again Honorable Courts have to come to the rescue of the victims of J&K PSC especially those of Jammu region. The allegations against it, in 2013, by none other than its own retiring member, complaining to HE Governor, that rules and regulations were being flouted with impunity in the selections, still sounds in our minds. More so, the present PSC is biased against Jammu and always compel candidates from Jammu region to be up in arms against discriminatory attitude of this dubious body. For authentication we can visit the selection of Assistant Professors for various subjects in the Higher Education Department, selection of 10 Plus 2 Lecturers for the School Education Department, and many more. The saddest part of the story is that, the Jammu based leadership and particularly BJP sharing power in the alliance has maintained stoic silence on the issue. An independent enquiry into the conduct of J&K PSC is required to be initiated forthwith for maintaining its credibility in the eyes of people.
