PSC declares KCS Judicial, KAS Prelims results

SRINAGAR, Oct 5: J&K Public Service Commission today declared the result of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service (Judicial) (Preliminary) Examination – 2013 and J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination – 2014.
These examinations were held at Srinagar and Jammu wherein 1432 and 12145 candidates appeared respectively against 2029 and 20180 candidates who had applied for these examinations.
Secretary J&K Public Service Commission, Shakeelul Rehman, while elaborating said that the Commission had advertised 12 posts of Civil Service (Judicial) and 51 posts of Combined Competitive Services. In response 2029 candidates had applied for Judicial Examination and 20180 for Combined Competitive Examination.
Similarly, in respect of CCE-2014, 12145 appeared as against 20180 registered. The Screening Test was conducted on August 16, 2015 for KCS (Judicial) and on August 30,2015 in respect CCE-14. The Commission first time in its history has amended the rules to make a provision for notification of key before the declaration of the result.
The cut of merit for Civil Service (Judicial) Examination-2013 was fixed at 67.156 points while as for Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination-2014 it was fixed at 318.204 points.
It was further decided that the Main Examinations of the service will be conducted in December, 2015 for Judicial and 23rd November, 2015 for CCE .
The Commission has recently also approved harmonization of Combined Competitive Examination scheme bringing it in tune with the CSAT of the UPSC with a recommendation to the Government that the same may be made effective from 1st January, 2016.
