JAMMU, Oct 21: A delegation of Private Schools Association, led by Ajay Gupta, called on Joint Director (Training) School Education H R Pakhroo and apprised him of the problems being faced by private schools at different level.
During the meeting, the PSA drew attention towards the new tedious formalities regarding the authentication of scholarship form of students in district Rajouri. The Joint Director was briefed that beneficiary students were being deprived of the scholarship by demanding a number of new and un-necessary formalities from the private schools.
Taking cognizance of the issue, the Joint Director issued on spot instructions to the CEO Rajouri not to harass the private schools by demanding un-reasonable formalities while authenticating the scholarship forms under various categories.
The PSA deputation also called on Joint Director Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi (Admn) and demanded simplification as well as reduction in formalities for extension in affiliation by JKBOSE to the Private Schools, which are functioning for the last at least 15 years.
Dr Shafqat assured to look into the demand.
