SRINAGAR, June 18: People’s Republican Party (PRP) has urged the Central University authorities to start the work on its campus in Ganderbal area so that the full-fledged university can start functioning from there.
Addressing the PRP meeting here today, its president Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani said that authorities should not delay in construction of campus at Ganderbal where it has been allotted land.
Mir said his organization will extend all cooperation to University authorities in starting the work on the construction of new campus at its selected site in Ganderbal and the meeting also made an appeal to the people of the area to extend full cooperation and support to university authorities in starting the construction work as with the establishment of university in the area the people of adjoining villages will be benefited. It will not only boost the trade but having university campus at door steps will also be an added advantage for the local people.
Mir said already the construction of University campus at Ganderbal has been delayed for many years and hence no more hurdles should be created in this regard.
He appealed the people to come forward in extending all cooperation to authorities in this regard and also appealed the university administration to look into the demands of the people and fulfill the promises made with them during acquisition of land.
