PRP holds Central Executive meet

JAMMU, Jan 11: Peoples Republican Party (PRP) in its Central Executive meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Mir Ghulam Rasool discussed the prevailing political scenario in the State.
The meeting was attended by the senior leaders of the Party in which it was resolved that party to work for strengthening secular and socialist forces in the country in general and State in particular.
The meeting said that various commissions constituted by the State Government have failed to yield results and though over Rs 18 crore were spent on four commissions the output is totally zero. It demanded that these commissions be either given teeth or otherwise disbanded.
The meeting also expressed concern over the growing unemployment problem and appealed the Government to take appropriate steps for eradication of the problem.
It said for keeping divisive forces away the secular forces need to join hands in the State as PRP will work for the unity of the State and country, brotherhood and peace. It resolved to extend all cooperation to those forces who are working for co-existence and brotherhood.
The meeting decided that PRP will contest the forthcoming municipal and Panchayat elections in the State.
