Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Oct 31: Mahila Congress activists led by former MLA and Pradesh Mahila Congress president Indu Pawar  visited  border areas of RS Pura where large scale migration has taken place due to recent un-provoked firing  and mortar shelling by Pakistan.
The Mahila Congress delegation visited Bega, Bera, Layyian, Chandu Chak,  Abdullian,  Choga, Raipur, Kopad Basti and several other affected areas  and met the villagers.
While talking to affected families, the Congress leader alleged that  the  Government has done nothing to mitigate problems of these people who have to leave their hearths and homes and suffered loss of human lives, live stock and properties.
Ms  Pawar said on one side BJP led Govt at Centre  and in State is claiming that they are taking due care of the displaced persons but on ground situation is totally different. She insisted that Govt should ensure protection of  border migrants  and provide them adequate relief to save themselves from hunger  and shelter. All promises made and achievements claimed by the Govt are false. Nation is losing our jawans on border due to nefarious designs of Pakistan.
She said that our martyrs of the State are not being adequately compensated on the pattern of other States which needs to be upgraded to national level.
BJP led Govt should start doing things on ground and implement the promises made to our martyrs  and border area people. Our forces are safe guarding us by sacrificing their lives and Govt should take care of the affected families of these martyrs. She said time has come when we have to ensure that permanent accommodation at safe places needs to be provided to border areas people for ensuring their safety and future of their children who suffer due to  migration.
She was accompanied the Mahila Congress activists  Sushma Choudhary, Suman Choudhary, Shakuntla Bhagat, Meera Dogra and Santosh Mehra.
