KALAKOTE, Jan 19: Former legislator and senior Congress leader, Ashok Sharma today appealed the Governor, N.N. Vohra for sanctioning of Rs. 5 lakh to each of the flood affected family of Kalakote constituency to offset the damage caused to their houses, crops, agricultural land, live stock and other moveable and immovable property in September last.
Mr. Sharma made this appeal to the Governor while interacting with people at Saroti, Akhar, Khersuin, Moghla, Metka, Saroh, Kurlian, Soulki, Kharak and Panjah. He said that the entire amount should be provided to the flood affected family in one installment so that they could reconstruct their dwelling unit and restart their life once again.
Mr. Sharma also urged for adequate supply of water, power and ration in the Kalakote constituency.
The former legislator while referring to the unemployment problem in the area, emphasized the urgent need for undertaking on the spot recruitment of youth in Kalakote constituency in the State police and the Central para military forces by arranging special recruitment drive.
