JAMMU, Nov 25: Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora (GKPD) has expressed serious concern over denying the facility of health insurance through Ayushmann Bharat PMJAY scheme announced by PM Modi for J&K residents to the Kashmiri Hindus who are living in exile since last 32 years outside the Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, today by coordinator GKPD, NCR, New Delhi Kashi Akhoon said this is a cause of concern to all the Kashmiri Hindus who are residing in various parts of India outside J&K.
Akhoon said, he has discussed the issue with officers in Relief Organisation and found that the Ayushman cards are being issued to only those who are having their ration cards in J& K as the system is linked to the ration card portal.
He said this way the people who are residing outside J&K  can’t get the facility though they are original residents of J&K and are having the domicile of J&K.
He demanded that for linking the residents of J&K living outside the UT instead of ration card number their domicile certificate number be taken as the base document to issue Ayushman Bharat PMJAY-Sehat Card He said there are thousands of Kashmiri Hindus who are denied this facility deliberately and this stepmother treatment should be stopped immediately.
