Provide adequate cash in treasuries: LPEF

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Apr 20: Abdul Majid Khan, president All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation has urged upon the Government to rush adequate cash in treasuries so that all pay, GPF advance and other bills are drawn and disbursed to the employees and pensioners which are lying pending for want of cash in treasuries.
He said that the employees appointed  under  New Pension  Scheme (NPS), ReT Teachers, Daily Wage workers and several other sections have not been paid salary/wages for the last so many months due to which they are unnecessarily being made to live from hand to mouth especially when the prices are soaring sky high day by day.
He said that employees problems have been aggravated further because TDS was deducted from the salary of February 2015 drawn in March while salary bills of March are kept pending in treasuries for want of cash.  This kind of casual approach of the concerned authorities is causing undue miseries and hardships for the poor employees who are reeling under the onslaught of spiraling prices of essential commodities.
