‘Provide accommodation to package employees in Valley’

JAMMU, May 26: A meeting of the social activists and members of Vitasta Samaj Sewa was held under the leadership of Ashok Ji Koul, chairman of the organization which discussed various issues confronting the displaced people of the camp.
The meeting among others was attended by Chand Ji Bhat, president of the organization, Vijay Kumar Saproo, Vijay Pandita, Shadi Lal and Chandji Kher.
Addressing the meeting Ashok Koul made an appeal to the Lt. Governor of JK UT for allotment of residential accommodation to PM package employees posted in Kashmir Valley. He also demanded constitution of a team from the community which will look into the issues confronted the community and bring the same in the notice of the Government for redressal.
Koul said this social activists group is trying to reach all needy who are in distress for medical help, ration and other day today problems during the present lockdown.
In his address Chand Ji Kher expressed confidence that the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner
T K Bhat took various steps in solving the issues of camp inmates during the present Corona Virus pandemic by himself visiting the camp and non camp areas to take the stock of the situation there.
The TRT inmates complimented him for the timely action in making provision of advance payment relief and rations of the two months otherwise the relief holders would have been put to grave hardships.
