Protests in JNU

Sir, This has reference to the ‘Demonstration outside the venue of Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State in PMO with independent charge of North Eastern States. Of late I am pained ,JNU had great tradition of debates and discussions ,the seminar halls were always vibrant with brilliant minds and brilliant ideas. Of late these chaotic and anarchist shouting brigades have lowered the prestige of this Great university. As a research scholar I read paper on Sheikh Abdullah in 1971 and Sheikh Sahib was present ,those were the times ,when he was banned to enter J&K with his colleagues , Parthasarathy was the first vice chancellor of JNU who presided over the seminar, hot debate and discussions , no shouting nor demonstrations. Arguments and argumentative scholars are soul of excellence and liberty that way JNU had Great tradition. No Nation state can allow secessionist slogans on the campuses, that is not liberty but anarchy. Prof B L Zutshi Mumbai
