SRINAGAR, Dec 27: Students of Institute of Gurmat Studies today held protests and demanded capital punishment for the accused in Delhi gang-rape case. The protestors demanded severe punishment to the people responsible for rape cases in Kashmir.
The protesters expressed dismay that the Government has failed to punish the rapists despite having enough evidence about their involvement in the shameful incidents. They said if the rape incidents would have been stopped at the earliest modesty and chastity of hundreds of women would have been saved.
R P Singh, chief secretary, Gurmat Sikh Students Federation, Kashmir said that no one is safe in India. Singh impressed upon the State and Union Governments to enhance the security of the women so that shameful incidents are not repeated any more.
