JAMMU, Jan 17: On 48th day of the agitation and 21st day of the chain hunger strike by Dharmarth Trust Employees Association, various wings of Dharmarth Trust employees today protested with empty thallies in support of their demands for Shrine Board of all temples under Dharmarth Trust and CBI enquiry for multicrore temples land scandals.
The Association announced to launch signature campaign from Monday in support of their demands to constitute public board for the temples under Dharmarth Trust and get the opinion of public. Association further decide to hold protest demonstration on Monday in front of Maharaja Hari Singh’s status at Tawi bridge on January 18.
The Association clarified to general public that the pooja of all temples is being performed properly by the pujaries in the morning and evening daily so that devotees may not be disturbed.
The persons who sat on hunger strike today, included Sonali Khajuria, Rekha, Vaishno, Reenu, Rita Slathia, Sneh Honda, Sheetal, Raj Rani, Sonia and Anju Sharma.
The Association president Vivek Bandral criticised the Trust management for issuing false statement that some employees malign image of Dharmarth Trust for their vested interests. He said that corrupt practices of the self styled trustee and council members were responsible to malign Dharmarth Trust image.
The protesting employees also drew attention towards the case in the court of district session judge to remove present trustee and present management of the Dharmarth Trust.
Among others present in the strike, included Ex-President Kernail Chand Thakur, ex-General Secretary, Pritam Sharma, Working President Rajinder Shastri, Sunit Sharma, Subash, Pt Parshotam, Pt Brijmohan Sharma, Pt Om Parkash, Pt Rampal, Pt Balwant Shastri, Vimal Khajuria, Sat Paul, Pawan, Deepu, Rinku, Makhnu, Jivan, Bushan, Sonali, Renu, Anju, Sheetal, Sonika, Sukeshni, Rita Salathia, Rekha, Harbans Lal, Surjeet Singh, Parshotam Sharma, Ram Paul Sharma, Jagjeet Chand, Sahil Sharma, Pt Babu Bishambar Lal, Reeta Salathia, Raj Kumari, Leela Devi, Sheetal, Rajani, Shobha, Nisha and Sonika.
