UDHAMPUR, Feb 9: A protest was held today at Thanda Badral area regarding deteriorating condition of village road.
The local residents came on road and raised slogans against the concerned authorities for not blacktopping the road. They said that innumerable pits have been developed on the kuccha road due to passing of tractor-trolleys and other four wheelers.
“In case of rains, the road becomes slippery and muddy. A number of pools of water also appear on the road due to which it becomes impossible for the pedestrians to walk through the road”, said the people adding despite several representations to the concerned authorities, the road has remained unattended.
The protestors appealed the higher ups in the concerned department to take early steps to blacktop the road, the condition of which has become worst from bad and any untoward incident can happen any time with the passers-by.
