JAMMU, Jan 9: The ongoing protest demonstration of All J&K PDD Need Based/Casual Workers here today entered day 36.
The protesters today visited the office of Chief Engineer EM&RE Wing here and staged a protest.
They were demanding release of pending wages of 3405 workers, monthly payment from Wages Head and implementation of SRO 381.
Speaking on the occasion, leader of the protesters Akhil Sharma said while in Kashmir province 7500 casual workers of PDD are being paid wages regularly and are also being regularised till 2012, in Jammu there are only 3405 such workers who are even deprived from their earned wages while they work round the clock.
Bilal, Bashir, Abdul Gani, Saleem, Sajid, Daljeet, Gurmail, Ashish Verma, Akhyar Choudhary and Kabir were also present in the protest.
