UDHAMPUR, May 11: A protest demonstration was held today by People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at Town Hall Chowk, here under the leadership of PDP leader Ajaz Sumberiya against the State Government and Education Department for their failure to implement SRO 123.
Addressing the protesters, Sumberiya said it is very difficult for common man to provide quality education to their children on account of high rising admission charges every year, so it is the need of the hour to implement SRO 123 at the earliest, which gives a strict check on private institutions.
He said that private institutions are violating the norms of SRO 123 above board while the silence of State Government and Education Department is adding fuel to fire.
We are conducting door to door campaign to aware the common mass of Udhampur and involve them in this issue to launch a strong agitation against the ill system, he said and appealed political and social organisations besides common masses to support the genuine cause.
Those who participated in the protest were Gopal Sharma, Ashok Rains, Vikas Kumar, Sunil Rajput, Liaquat Ali, Pardeep Kumar, Sanjeet Singh, Aarav Suria and Mohd Yaseen.
