JAMMU, Aug 29: On the call of Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Talim Teachers Forum, the five-day sit-in protest for the implementation of 7th Pay Commission, entered into second day today.
The protesting teachers from different districts of the State assembled at Press Club Jammu and Press Enclave Srinagar where massive sit-in protests were held amidst raising of slogans.
The protesting ReT teachers are demanding implementation of 7th Pay Commission in favour of more than 41000 SSA teachers of the State, delinking of their salary from the central source of funding, regularization of ReT teachers, time bound promotions and yearly increments.
At Jammu, the sit- in protest was led by senior JKRETTF vice chairman Bhupinder Singh while at Srinagar, the protest was led by Forum State chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantary.
