Protest by JTC & SKF enters 477th day

JAMMU, Jan 22: The ongoing protest demonstration by Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front (JTC&SKF) here today entered day 477 at Jagti.
The protest was led by JTC&SKF president, Shadi Lal Pandita demanding hike in monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs. 13,000 to 25,000; 20,000 jobs to unemployed KP youths, compensation to over aged youths and removal of illegal occupations of land and religious places of KPs in Kashmir.
The protesters also demanded three townships near Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag for settling KPs and payment for pending amount for burnt and damaged houses in Kashmir along with minority status to KPs.
Raj Kumar Bhat, Mohan Krishan Tickoo, S. Charanjeet Singh and others were also present in the protest.
