JAMMU, Feb 20: At the call of All India Regional Rural Bank Employees’ Association, the joint forum of JK Grameen Bank Retirees’ Welfare Association, JK Grameen Bank Officers’ Association and JK Grameen Bank Employees’ Association shall observe a nationwide protest demonstration outside JK Grameen Bank Head Office Narwal, Jammu on February 23, 2024.
A handout stated that call for the protest was for the demands like onetime special recruitment drive for 30,000 vacancies in RRBs.
Other demands included no privatisation in RRBs, formation of State Level RRBs, National Rural Bank at Apex level delinked from sponsor bank and immediate revision of promotion rules.
More demands included pension parity with coverage of left out cases, parity in service rules, parity of computer increment for all retirees/ employees who were in service as on November 1, 1993 and parity in compassionate appointment.
Still more demands included onetime regularisation of daily wage casual workers as per the Supreme Court order in APGVB and opposing of cross selling of insurance products.
A handout stated that all the branches of JK Grameen Bank shall remain close on February 23, 2024.
