REASI, Oct 16: The people from Pouni area today held protest demonstration and blocked road for about an hour near Domail , alleging worst condition of road from Pouni to Bharakh and Shiv Khori.
The people from the area raised barricades on the road and started protest against the concerned authorities and also against District Administration, Reasi. They alleged that a large number pilgrims visit Shiv Khori from Katra and other parts but the concerned authorities did not bother about the miseries of the people.
They said the road surface after rainy season has suffered massive damage but the concerned authorities have initiated no repair/ maintenance work. They sat on dharna on the road and stopped the movement of vehicles. Later, concerned Incharge SHO and Naib tehsildar were sent to the site by the tehsildar Pouni and they pacified the protesting people assuring early commencement of repair work on the road. The people then lifted dharna.
