RAJOURI, Sept 9: The people from Ward No. 5 Rajouri town held strong protest demonstration against the R&B authorities for the worst condition of road from Pahari Hostel to Gurdwara.
A large number of locals of the area including children and members of Gurdwara Committee assembled on the road near Pahari Hostel and held strong protest demonstration today. They were shouting slogans against the local R&B authorities for their failure to repair this road.
The locals alleged that this road has been totally neglected by the R&B Division Rajouri. Despite repeated requests to the R&B authorities and local District Administration the road could not be improved. Now, due to rains during recent weeks, the condition of this road has turned more worst, they added.
The protesting people warned the authorities to start repair work on this road within week otherwise they will storm the XEns’s office and put lock on it. Later, with the intervention of local administration the people suspended protest.
