Protect constitution by rooting BJP out of power: Tony

RS PURA, Mar 31: Taranjit Singh Tony, General Secretary of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee and DDC Suchetgarh, today stressed on the urgent need to protect India’s Constitution by rooting the BJP out of power.
Addressing during a function held here today, Tony conveyed a strong opinion that the ruling party’s actions have jeopardized the very essence of democracy.
He said, “Our fight to remove the BJP from power is not just a political battle but a fight for the soul of our nation. This is a second war of independence, where we must defend our Constitution, protect our democracy, and ensure that every voice is heard.”
Tony criticized the government’s policies that have marginalized certain communities and weakened institutions and emphasized that the Loktantra Bachao Rally organised in Delhi aiming to unite all Indians who are deeply committed to upholding the principles of justice, equality, and inclusivity.
“Our Constitution guarantees every citizen the right to speak, the right to express, and the right to dissent and it is our duty to ensure these fundamental rights are protected,” he said.
Among others who were present included Sham Lal, Mandeep Choudahry, Rashpal Singh Gill, Tilak Raj Bhagat, Lucky, Capt Hazara Singh and Satvinder Singh.
