SRINAGAR, July 30: Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand today said that Government is committed to mitigate the grievances of employees of Education Department and several initiatives have been taken to fill up available vacancies by promotions and through SSRB. He said that promotion case of class IV employees is being sorted out and due consideration will be given to the issue besides other issues confronting them within shortest possible time.
Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with a deputation of School Education Employees Coordination Committee (SEECC) who called on him this afternoon here today. The deputation was led by President EJAC and Chairman SEECC, Abdul Qayum Wani and Vice President Nusrat Ahmad Beig.
Various Heads of the Departments were present on the occasion, including Director School Education Kashmir, Director School Education Jammu, State Project Director, SSA and Director RMSA.
Deputy Chief Minister assured the deputation that all pending genuine issues will be solved by the Government in a phased manner.
He said that Government is contemplating to constitute Education Board for framing educational policies besides formulation of Right to Education Act is also under its active consideration.
Expressing satisfaction over the functioning of Private Schools Fee Structure Committee, Deputy Chief Minister said that most of the schools in private sector are ready to cooperate and fix genuine fee for students of various classes, studying in their schools.
Deputy Chief Minister further said that SSRB has been directed to speed up filling up of posts referred by Education Department and make selection as early as possible. He said that Government released pending salaries of Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers and took various steps for streamlining the promotions of CEOs, ZEOs and Lecturers.
