Projects started during NC-Cong regime still in limbo: Ex-MLC

JAMMU, Jan 1: Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC) today said that major projects got initiated during Congress-NC Govt are still in limbo in Nowshera Constituency due to failure of the previous PDP-BJP Govt in the State.
Addressing workers’ meeting here today, Sharma regretted that the prestigious Beripattan Lift Irrigation Scheme at the cost of Rs 52 crore, construction of Degree College Sunderbani building, fruit and vegetable Mandis at Sunderbani and Nowshera, Sports Stadiums at Sunderbani and Nowshera and the Industrial Estate at Sunderbani and Lamberi are nowhere in sight. There were several other projects which were got sanctioned and initiated by him from the previous Govt including road projects but most of them have been awaiting further go ahead.
He referred to mega filtration projects for drinking water needs for Kangri, Tichka, Bajabain, Changi, Bheni Gala besides one for Bharta, Rajpur Kamila, Qila Darhal costing more than Rs 12 crore but have been abandoned affecting more than 40 thousands population.
Sharma said that BDO block and a Niabat was sanctioned at Devak in Sunderbani Sub- Division which was most deserving but has been withdrawn by BJP-PDP Govt. Similarly, out of six 10+2 Schools for Nowshera Constituency got sanctioned, only two have been announced without any further progress, after over four years.
He urged the people to compare the achievements of the respective Governments and not fall prey to false propaganda and publicity hype of the leaders.
