SRINAGAR, Aug 5: Member Parliament and president, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz emphasised for comprehensive development of Baramulla town under Urban Renewal Mission (URM) for which Central funds are available.
He said this while addressing a meeting of the Congress workers drawn from Baramulla district here today. During the meeting, the Congress workers apprised Prof Soz of various problems being faced by them.
Prof Soz assured them that he would take personal interest for construction of footbridge at Khawaja Bagh, completion of Jatty Bridge, improvement of drainage system and construction of community hall in old town Baramulla.
He sanctioned certain amount out of his MP LAD funds for provision of transformers, toilet blocks, development of parks and construction of drains in Narvav Area.
Prof Soz was accompanied by Gulam Nabi Monga, vice president, district presidents and leaders of Baramulla and Kupwara districts.
