JAMMU, Oct 20: Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, Head department of Urdu, University of Jammu has been invited by Urdu Speaking Union, Government of Mauritius to attend a three day World Urdu Conference on the subject “the Relevance of Urdu in the Globalised world” from November 26 to 28, 2015 in Mauritius.
Urdu speaking union is a benevolent institution established by an Act of Parliament of Mauritius in November in 2002 to preserve, promote and propagate Urdu language and culture in Mauritius. Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik will present a paper on the topic “the role of Women in Promotion of Urdu Language and Literature”. This is the 5th world conference which Prof. Shohab is going to attend.
