JAMMU, Mar 2: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has further strengthened its academic and MBA healthcare program ecosystem as Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director & CEO of AIIMS Jammu, has joined the Institute as Honorary distinguished Professor.
Besides Prof Shakti Kumar Gupta, Shati Gupta, the Institute was also joined by Lt Gen (Dr) Sunil Kant (Retired), former Dean (Research), Medical Superintendent and Head, Department of Hospital Administration at AIIMS Jammu, as Senior Consultant (Healthcare) to further enrich and strengthen the MBA (Healthcare) programme and academic ecosystem at IIM Jammu.
Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, an alumnus of Government Medical College Jammu and AIIMS New Delhi, is a distinguished academic leader and hospital administrator. He has mentored over 45 postgraduate and PhD scholars, guided 112 research studies, authored more than 110 publications, and written 11 books on hospital planning, procurement, disaster management, and infection control.
Lt Gen (Dr) Sunil Kant is a distinguished healthcare leader and hospital administrator with over 38 years of exemplary service in the Armed Forces Medical Services and premier national institutions. He retired as Director General of Hospital Services. He was serving as Dean (Research), Medical Superintendent, and HoD, Department of Hospital Administration at AIIMS Jammu.
Prof BS Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, stated that the association of Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta and Lt Gen (Dr) Sunil Kant, marks a transformative step in building a strong healthcare management vertical at IIM Jammu.
Prof Jabir Ali, Dean, Faculty and Research, IIM Jammu, highlighted that the association of Prog Gupta Lt Gen Sunil Kant will accelerate the Institute’s efforts in creating impactful knowledge and capacity-building frameworks for the healthcare sector.
