Prof Parveen is J&K Student Coordinator of CSI

JAMMU, Jan 4: Head of Department of Computer Sciences, Government SPMR College of Commerce, Prof. Parveen Singh has been appointed as State Student Coordinator of J&K for Computer Society of India (CSI) for the year 2019-2020.
After detail scrutiny of the profile of Prof. Singh followed by the recommendation of concerned Regional Vice President, ratified by the Executive Committee of CSI, the President of CSI, Prof. A.K Nayak nominated Prof. Singh as the State Student Coordinator for J&K as per the official communication communicated by Dr S.K Yadav, Honorary Secretary of CSI.
Prof. Singh is recipient of several national as well as State awards including ‘Science Innovative Teacher Award 2013’, ‘Best Techno Faculty Award 2016’, ‘Distinguished HoD Award 2017’ etc.
He will be coordinating with student branches for organizing technically and socially relevant events, providing guidance and support for the management of student branches, promoting inter-institutional collaboration within the geographical unit, serving the student community in terms of knowledge-sharing, mentoring, initiating and promoting any other event that is in tune with CSI’s objectives.
