JAMMU, Feb 5: Prof Parikshat Singh Manhas, presently working as Director – School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, The Business School, University of Jammu and also the Coordinator, Global Understanding Course & President, Institution Innovation Council, has been appointed as Regional Director for Asia and Eastern Europe by World Centre of Excellence for Destinations (CED), A UNWTO affiliate.
The World Centre of Excellence for Destinations (CED) was created in 2007 with the support of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The CED’s mission is to guide destinations worldwide towards excellence by supporting them in their efforts to foster sustainable development and increase their abilities to generate economic, social and cultural benefits. CED and UNWTO work collaboratively on creating strategies and disseminating know-how and good practices which help tourist destinations reach excellence by reinforcing (strengthening) their competitiveness.
Prof Parikshat is a visiting Professor, Taylor’s School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, Taylors University, Malaysia, and to Zhubanov State University of Akotbe, Akotbe, Republic of Kazakhstan, Bashkir State University, Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia and Graduate School of Business, ESAN University, Lima, Peru.
