Prof Bhat from SMVDU visits Sobolev Institute of Maths

Jammu, May 12: Prof. V. K. Bhat, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University visited Sobolev Institute of Mathematics, Novosibirsk, Russia to attend international conference on Algebra, Mathematical logic, and applications at Novosibirsk, Russia last week.
The Conference was organized by Sobolev Institute of Mathematics and Novosibirsk state University. It was attended by about one hundred twenty five leading Mathematicians including Prof. Yurii L. Ershov, a renowned academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, and about two hundred young faculty, research scholars & students from about twenty five countries.
Latest developments in Mathematics (Algebra, Graph Theory, Mathematical logic, and applications) were discussed and presented during invited talks, contributory talks and other informal discussions.
Prof. Bhat delivered a talk titled “Weak sigma-rigid rings and their extensions over Noetherian rings” during the conference.
