JAMMU, Mar 3: Former Minister and MLA Priya Sethi along with vice-president BJP Yudhvir Sethi today started construction of new nallah from JP Chowk Chand Nagar to Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Chowk.
District president, BJP Baldev Singh Bilowria was present at the inauguration.
The Nallah project would be completed by the Municipal authorities at an estimated cost of Rs 31 lakh.
The people of the area were facing hardships due to blockage of drains and garbage accumulation at different locations in the area.
Yudhvir had taken up the matter with the Jammu Municipal Corporation and today the long pending demand of the people was met.
While addressing the gathering, Priya said that within a short span of time the party has ensured that major demands of the people are met and work on mega projects in the province has already been started. She said that the demands of the people of the city were taken up at the highest quarters and prestigious projects were initiated all across the region.
Yudhvir said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched Swachh Bharat Mission and all out efforts are being made by the party cadres as well as people to make the endeavour a grand success.
