Priya launches free coaching for students at Jagti camp

JAMMU, Mar 26: Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Department of Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks Priya Sethi today urged the youth to aim and work progressively for the welfare of the State.
She was addressing a large gathering during the inauguration of free coaching for 11th and 12th standard students in science stream at Government Higher Secondary School Camp Jagti, Nagrota.
MLC Surinder Ambardar was also present on the occasion. The function was organized by ‘All India Kashmiri Samaj’ in collaboration with Helpline Humanity, Global Solace and AIK Trust to launch free coaching for secondary school students, distribute scholarships to meritorious students for facilitating their education and provide free books to students of the area, especially in the migrant camp on the account of their weak economic position.
The Minister urged the students to make focused efforts on their education along with healthy participation in co-curricular activities and sports. She also urged the students to remember their heritage and culture and participate in ensuring that rich traditions pass the test of time and survive.
The Minister also gave a patient hearing to the problems and demands projected by the people and assured them that all their genuine issues will be taken up at the appropriate channels for early action.
The Minister also distributed scholarships and awards to the meritorious students excelling in various disciplines and sports.
Also present on the occasion were Vice-Chancellor Central University, Ashok Aima, Vice-Chancellor Vishavakarma University Raj Nehru besides many prominent citizens and political leaders including Kiran Wattal, Vijay Bakaya, Moti Koul, M K Bangroo, Vijay Aima, Col GK Raina, MK Bhat, management and members of AIKS, Helpline Humanity and Global Solace and locals and students in large numbers.
