JAMMU, Nov 23: Minister of State for Education, Culture and Information Priya Sethi launched development works worth Rs 25.0 lakh in Rajinder Nagar and Lajpat Nagar, Ward No. 19, here today.
Senior leader Yudhvir Sethi was also present on the occasion.
Rs 11.66 lakh would be provided from the CDF for the project that  includes laying of tiles, cross drainage works, deep drain construction and allied civil works.
Underscoring on commitment of the Government towards all round development of the state, Priya said liberal funding has been sanctioned by the Central government for various sectors in the State and the funds would be utilised for launching as well as completing the development projects all over the State.
The Minister said that the recent special package announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would give necessary impetus to the development scenario in the State and ambitious infrastructure projects would get completed with the Rs 80,000 crore package.
She directed the JMC authorities to ensure that the project gets completed within the stipulated time frame and quality standards are maintained while executing the development works.
While addressing the gathering, Yudhvir said that the Coalition Government is working on the agenda of alliance and the two partners are committed to launch a development revolution in the State. He said the Government has delivered on ground and aspirations of the people are being addressed by the present dispensation.
