JAMMU, Sep 16: As part of ongoing ‘Sewa Saptah’ initiative, former Minister and senior BJP leader, Priya Sethi today distributed ration and eatable items among the needy people.
The national leadership of BJP has decided that it will celebrate Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s birthday as ‘Seva Saptah’ from September 14 to September 20. Several social initiatives will be undertaken by the party leaders across the nation during this week-long period.
Speaking on the occasion, Priya Sethi said that today’s programme is part of Sewa Saptah. Reminding ancient Indian doctrine ‘Sewa Paramo Dharma’, which calls for service to humanity that was rendered as divine service, the former Minister said that ongoing Sewa Saptah celebration is the most suitable occasion for all nationalists to render their services towards upliftment of poor and needy and make them feel that soon their despair will vanish and they will also enjoy the fruits of development which have been promised by none other than the Prime Minister of the country.
The former Minister said though there is a bit delay in making desired changes in J&K but soon with the visionary and arduous efforts of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi things will take a pleasant turn bringing happiness and contented moments in every resident’s life. She said that BJP’s core agenda is ensuring a life of dignity and honour to all and making every amenity affordable and available at people’s doorsteps. She said that PM Modi has on many occasions made it clear that Government’s prime focus is on uplifting the underprivileged and every BJP worker is duty bound to provide his or her services in accomplishment of this cause.
She said with collective efforts soon we will complete the job of elevating every single citizen out of poverty ridden life. The programme was organized by Amit Mahajan convenor Ward No 11.
