JAMMU, July 22: Minister of State for Education, Culture and Information Priya Sethi and BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today met Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and again took up the issue of migrant teachers who have been given promotion in Master grade but have been posted in Kashmir Valley. They strongly advocated for the immediate revocation of joining orders especially of female teachers.
Mrs Sethi also shared the view that female teachers should be given the promotion benefits and should be retained in Jammu
Ambardar while discussing the issue with Chief Minister said that all these teachers especially females are not the fresh recruits but most of them have been serving in Jammu and adjoining areas from last 25 years and none of them are willing to join in Kashmir which eventually will lead to their forgoing of their promotion grade effect and that will not be seen as a pro employee decision of the Government which will not create a feel good factor amongst the people and KP migrants in particular as this will be seen as forced return and that will dampen their moral to a large extent as displaced community has huge expectations from the present dispensation which needs to be taken into consideration.
It will be grave injustice to them if at this juncture when they have family to look after are told to leave everything in mess at home and join in Kashmir and moreover said that it doesn’t not make any sense if they are forced to join in Kashmir as the same joining will not be with willingness and willfulness which eventually will not solve any purpose as there will be no peace of mind so it will be virtually impossible for them to impart the best of the education to the students in the Valley.
Ambardar urged the Chief Minister that the order needs to be revoked as all these teachers are already overdue for their promotion grade and have been waiting for too long and any conditions as such which only add upto to their apathy and hardships which they have been facing during last so many years.
Chief Minister said that he will look into the same.
