JAMMU, June 3: A deputation of central body of Private Schools Association called on Director School Education, Jammu and apprised her of their resentment against hostile treatment of the Directorate towards private schools.
While elaborating, Kamal Gupta, president of the Association, said that the decision of organizing summer tutorials in the Government schools during summer vacation for weak students of Board classes i.e. 9th to 12th, should also be extended to Private schools.
Ajay Gupta, general secretary of the Association, alleged that the decision of organizing summer tutorials for the Government school students will encourage the tuition culture and force the students of Private schools to join coaching centers for the completion of their syllabus well in time.
The deputation demanded that the Government should think rationally and all schools, whether Private or Government be given proper permission to start summer tutorials in their respective schools during the summer vacation for classes 9th to 12th for the larger interest of the society.
The members, who accompanied the deputation, included Rameshwar Mengi, Sanjeev Luthra , Rameshwar Manhas, Lal Chand and others.
