KATHUA, Apr 7: The Private Schools Association, Kathua highlighted various issues pertaining to them and also clarified the misconception created on charging of fee and annual charges.

While addressing media persons here, today the Members of Private Schools Association Kishore Bakshi, Naresh Kumar and others said that the District Magistrate Kathua issued a order and imposed Section 144 if any school found violating the charging of higher fee, annual fee and sale of books.
While supporting the DC’s order, they also
highlighted the issues pertaining to private schools functioning and the problems faced by them while maintaining the best education infrastructure.
Kishor Bakshi said that they are charging only annual charges, which include the number of school development funds, student development and other expenses. They are not charging any readmission fee or any other undue expenses from the students. Even the tuition fee is charged from the students is also very economical. He also demanded the grading of school run in various localities as per their standard and infrastructure so that fee structure may be fixed in transparent way and schools may be up grade their standard.
He appealed to Fee Structure Committee to finalize the structure so that the misconception created in various areas is removed and the private schools are not accused of looting the parents.
He also asked the parents not to be panicky as no hidden charges are levied upon them and the schools are imparting best of education. He said the school management is making all effort to arrange best of education with minimum expenses as compared to highly paid Government run schools. He has also appealed the Government to show soft attitude towards private schools as they are part and parcel in imparting quality educational and serving the society by taking the Government mission forward.
