Pritam Singh starts lane-drain work

JAMMU, Feb 27: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Pritam Singh here today started lane and drain work at Uttam Nagar in Ward 24, Kanjwani.
A handout stated that the work shall be completed at the cost of Rs. 21 lakh and the lane and drain in the area was in dilapidated condition since long which created problems for the locals of the area and also the passersby.
Speaking on the occasion, the Councillor asked the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in development works undertaken in Jammu city.
He stressed upon the people of his Ward to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and shun the habit of throwing debris and garbage in drains and lanes.
Singh asked the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Sukhdev Singh, Neeraj Kumar, Vinay Sharma and others were also present on the occasion.
