Priorities of PDP

Sir,
This refers to the news item “peace, Honour, Prosperity; not chair my priority” (DE 29th Feb 2016 refers). While addressing party workers PDP leader said that she is not after power. She said that she does not need such a chair where people can’t reap the benefits and where there is no role for bringing peace to the state. It is always said by PDP leaders that the party took a bold decision to join the coalition Govt keeping in view that the BJP Govt is at the  centre and they also got mandate in Jammu and if we start fighting against each other and if Jammu remains in opposition what kind of peace we would bring to this place. To some extent it is correct. But it is also a fact that it was thought that by forming coalition Govt with BJP in the state there would be free flow of funds as and when demanded by the State Govt but unfortunately the same did not happen due to various reasons..It is not understood that without forming the Govt how she will give benefits to the people. If she is not after chair then she should tell the BJP leadership as well as to the Governor so that other possibilities may be explored to form the popular Govt. If she wants to contest fresh elections, it should also be told to the people of this state who are eagerly waiting that the popular Govt will be formed within few days.
It is pertinent to mention that presently each MLA is entitled for basic pay accompanied by a number of other allowances such as constituency allowance, sumptuous allowances,  and daily allowances. Other facilities include medical facilities, residence facilities, reimbursement of electricity and phone bills and travelling facilities. If it is not feasible to form popular Govt then assembly should be dissolved immediately to save the expenditure on account of ibid facilities and allowances provided to the MLAs on the basis of “No work No pay rule” as the enhancement of pension to disabled has been denied by the state govt by taking refuge under the poor financial health because there is budgetary deficit of about Rs 4600 crores and power liability of Rs 7000 crores.
Yours etc…..
