Principal suspended

KISHTWAR, Aug 12: The Principal of Government Polytechnic College Kishtwar has been suspended, while the salary of seven employees including Block Development Officer (BDO) Palmar was withheld for remaining unauthorizedly absent.
According to the orders issued by concerned authorities, the Minister of State for Transport (Independent charge), Revenue, Public Works (Roads & Buildings), Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Agriculture Production and YSS Sunil Sharma visited Government Polytechnic College Kishtwar and found its Principal Firdous Ahmed unauthorized absent from duty.
The Minister recommended for his suspension and the Principal was suspended accordingly by the authorities concerned.
During inspection, Block Development Officer (BDO) Palmar Ravi Shanker having charge of Kishtwar and Drabshalla was also found absent and his explanation has been called and till then his salary has been kept withheld.
In Block Development Office (BDO) Kishtwar, six employees namely Shahzada Begum, Senior Assistant, Chet Singh, Senior Assistant, Nasreen Kousar, Junior Assistant, Tariq Hussain, Helper, Ramnika Parihar, VLW and Santosh Sharma, Accounts Assistant MGNREGA were also found absent and have been directed to reply directly to Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar for their unauthorized absence from duties by or before August 16 failing which action warranted under rules will be initiated against them.
Meanwhile, DFO of Forest Division Marwah was also found absent from duty and action has been recommended against him by the Minister Sunil Sharma.
