JAMMU, Sept 29: J&K Principal Secretary, Alok Kumar today visited Sri Ranbir Multilateral Model Higher Secondary School and inaugurated Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) there.
Dr. Simpy Mahajan is incharge and coordinator of ATL Lab Jammu.
Director School Education, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma; Director Finance, IftIkaar Hussain Chauhan; Joint Director School Education Jammu, Subah Mehta; Deputy Director School Education, Mamta Sharma; Chief Education Officer, Suraj Singh Rathore and Deputy Chief Education Officer, Ashok Kumar also accompanied the Principal Secretary along with Anjali Gupta, Principal of SRML and they all took a round of the School and visited classrooms and ICT lab.
Alok Kumar interacted with students who had made different projects like smart water dispenser hydraulic crane, drone, 3D printer etc.
ATL module provides hands on experience of basic coding. The idea to set up ATL lab is to foster the spirit of creativity in aspiring young students.
Alok Kumar visited the school Sangeet Hall and listened to Ranbir Anthem sung by the students.
He also visited Pre-Primary classes of the school and interacted with staff and students. Coordinator of the Pre-Primary wing Jaswinder Kour apprised him with day-to-day activities of Pre-Primary classes.
The Principal Secretary gave some inputs for development of the school.
