JAMMU, June 5: A meeting was held today under the chairpersonship of Dr Shashi Sudhan Sharma, Principal, Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals Jammu, to review the functioning of Super Speciality Hospital.
After a threadbare discussion with HoDs and hospital administration, it was decided that the OPD services shall start functioning in SSH from Monday i.e. 7-06-2021 and patients can book their appointment telephonically on all working days. However, the total number of appointments per Speciality per day has been capped at 25.
It was also decided in the meeting to start routine OT services from 10-06-2021 with capping of 50 % per discipline. The meeting further decided to shift the OT staff from Urology and CTVS deployed for COVID-19 duties in MCH Gandhinagar back to SSH Jammu for smooth functioning of OTs.
To combat the possible 3rd wave of COVID-19, it was decided to upgrade gas pipeline, so that the need and demand of the gases can be accessed and a gas plant of a proper capacity can be installed for meeting the demands.
In addition to this, the Principal took a review of other ongoing projects in SSH like State Cancer Institute, Kidney Transplant Project, etc and instructions were passed to the concerned officers to complete all the projects at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by A K Khajuria (Administrator GMC & AH), Dr Elias Sharma (HoD Urology), Dr Sushil Sharma (HoD Cardiology), Dr Noor Ali (HoD CTVS), Dr Haroon Salaria (HoD Neuro Surgery), Dr Ashutosh Gupta (HoD Radiotherapy), Dr Manoj Chalotra (MS SSH Jammu), Dr Arun Sharma (MS MCH Gandhinagar), Dr Harjeet Rai (Deputy MS SSH), Dr Suman Kotwal and other faculty members.
