DODA, Dec 1: Police arrested a Principal of a Government institution for opening fire over land dispute and threatening the people in Gandoh area here today.
As per police sources, Incharge Principal of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Halaran was doing some construction work in the school premises, to which people objected.
To threaten the people, the said Incharge Principal identified as Rajinder Singh opened fire in the air and created panic in the area.
After hearing the gun shots, police rushed to the spot and arrested the Principal. The gun was also seized by the police.
A case under Arms Act has been registered against the Principal and investigation started.
