UDHAMPUR, Apr 22: District Development Commissioner Udhampur today ordered suspension of Principal DIET Kud among nine gazetted staff members of the institution, who were found absent from duty during a surprise inspection.
The suspended officers included Som Raj Raghuvanshi (Principal), Bimal Roy (Head of the Department), Ashok Tickoo (Head of the Department) and six Lecturers, namely Brij Mohan Sharma, Shiv Kumar, Harpreet Kour, Rajesh Kumar, Madan Lal and Kewal Krishan.
According to an order, issued in this regard by DDC Udhampur, Niraj Kumar, these suspended staff members of DIET Kud are attached in the same institute and they shall get their attendance verified from SDM Chenani on daily basis. “SDM Chenani is hereby deputed as Enquiry Officer to an in-depth enquiry into the matter and furnish the same to this office within a fortnight,” the order further says.
The surprise inspection was conducted by Tehsildar Chenani and Naib Tehsildar Chenani, on the direction of DDC Udhampur, who had received several complaints from various quarters, regarding absence of the staff posted at Principal DIET Kud.
