Prime Minister Modi holds ‘Diwali Milan’ with PMO staff

NEW DELHI, Oct 30 :  Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held a “Diwali Milan” get together with PMO (Prime Minister Office) staff  at his official residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, here.
Accompanying him was Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) North East and MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Advisor to  PM P K Sinha and Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi exchanged greetings with each of the staff members and then, along with MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, got himself photographed with the staff members in separate groups. Each of the staff members attending the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) beginning from the senior – most officers down to the lowest staff, as well as the household staff were part of these photo sessions with the Prime Minister.
One of the PMO officials later said, “it was a unique opportunity to have a group photo with the Prime Minister of India and it would be a lifetime cherished piece of display in the home of each of the staff members”.
While interacting with the staff, Prime Minister Modi appreciated the work done by the PMO staff and complemented them saying that all the transformative work done by the government had been possible due to the hard work and continuous efforts by the PMO. He enthused the staff to take stock of what has happened in the previous year and strive hard to achieve greater heights in the coming year.
Describing the PMO as a role model for others and the entire government, Prime Minister said, the PMO not only executes but also inspires and gives lead to others.
Prime Minister urged the PMO staff to be an inspiration for the rest of the government by setting high standards of work and ethics and commitment. He outlined the goals that ought to be fulfilled before India celebrates 75 years of independence.
Prime Minister advised  that the PMO staff should keep working hard fulfilling the dreams of millions of Indians.
