SAMBA, Mar 13: The priest of Nag Temple of famous tourist lake Mansar falling in Samba district ended his life by hanging himself with a tree in Mansar today.
The deceased priest has been identified as 43-year-old Jugal Kishore, son of Shri Niwas, resident of Mansar. Samba police reached the spot, took the body into custody and kept it in the mortuary of District Hospital Samba for post-mortem. The police have registered the case and started further action.
The body will be handed over to legal heirs after autopsy. The cause of this extreme step taken by the priest has not been ascertained so far.
